GHK-Cu is a specific chemical description
GHK is made from glycine, histidine and lysine. When complexed with copper it is commonly called GHK-Cu. The broader phrase ‘copper peptide’ can cover other materials and formulations.
The name alone does not establish the amount present, complex stability, formulation or whether a product reaches a biologically relevant target.
What the literature investigates
GHK-Cu has been studied in fibroblast cultures, wound models, skin-permeation systems and other experimental settings. These models help investigate mechanisms but are not equivalent to a controlled clinical trial.
To assess a claim about skin appearance, the exact formulation, comparator, duration, measurement method and quality of human research all matter.
